What Sets Us Apart

Our Approach

We start by understanding how you live in your space, then translate that into a design that feels natural, functional, and elevated. Our goal is not just to remodel—but to create an environment that improves how you experience your home every day.

Woody and Kim Moldenhauer

Our Story

Founded by Woody and Kim Moldenhauer, Ben Rae Design & Remodel is a husband-and-wife-owned company built on craftsmanship, trust, and family values. We believe the heart of every home is where life happens — where families gather, memories are made, and everyday moments matter most.

Woody’s career began in the field as an installer, learning the trade through hands-on experience and a commitment to doing things the right way. That foundation was shaped early on by his father, a union carpenter whose expertise across every facet of remodeling instilled a deep respect for quality workmanship and pride in the craft.

Over the years, Woody transitioned into the design and business side of the industry, spending more than 14 years refining his ability to guide projects from concept to completion with both creativity and precision.

Today, Woody and Kim lead a team with more than 35 years of combined experience, creating spaces that are thoughtfully designed, expertly built, and centered around the people who call them home. At Ben Rae Design & Remodel, every project is approached with the same care, integrity, and attention to detail we would want for our own family.
